Each treatment I offer has its own training, lineage, and professional body. Here's where I stand with each.
I work strictly within the scope of practice for each treatment. Therapeutic Reflexology is a regulated allied health profession in South Africa; Bowen Therapy and Reiki are complementary traditions with their own bodies of training and oversight. Below is a transparent record of my qualifications and registrations.

The Usui system was founded by Mikao Usui in early 20th-century Japan. Practitioners are trained and attuned by a Reiki Master in a continuous lineage tracing back to Usui himself.
Therapeutic Reflexology is a regulated profession, and the AHPCSA requires its registered practitioners to earn Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points each year to remain on the practitioners' register. I take this requirement seriously — completing the required hours annually through accredited courses, structured study, and peer learning.
Beyond the minimum, ongoing research is a regular part of how I work. Reflexology, Bowen therapy, and Reiki all sit alongside active research in fascia, the autonomic nervous system, hormonal regulation, and the body's response to gentle touch — and our understanding of these areas has grown considerably over the past decade. Staying current means each client receives treatment shaped by current evidence, not by what was taught fifteen years ago. It is also, honestly, how I came to love this work in the first place: the chance to keep reading, keep learning, and keep refining what I bring into each session.
None of these treatments replace conventional medical care. I do not diagnose, prescribe, or treat disease — I work with the body's own capacity to rest, regulate, and recover. Where a concern is outside my scope, I'll say so honestly, and where appropriate I'll suggest seeing your GP or specialist first or alongside our work together.
If you have any questions about my training or registration, please send a note — I'm always happy to discuss.
